Networking Computers in different locations

Hi All

Anyone have any experience about networking about 8 computers that are in 3 different offices in different buildings?
I would like it that all computers could access a central file location and somehow also see emails that are received on these compters.
Is there some software you can get off the shelf or should we get in a network specialist?
Appreciate any advice

If it is a business just get someone in to explain all.

if the offices have a decent net connection, u could just connect them together as a VPN

If they are on the same campus, then it may be worth doing a fibre link between the sites, transferring and accessing databases/files over VPN can be painful at times.
