I am trying to connect to a windows 7 pc using an xp pc....

We are on a bt home hub 2 router... Networking has never been problematic on xp to xp

When I am trying to access my windows 7 pc by IP

i.e.

\\192.168.1.6\Michael-PC\Michael

It won't display my user account 'MICHAEL', just 'PUBLIC' and 'default'.

All the sharing settings are set to enabled and so on in advanced settings and I've right clicked the folder and click share and give everyone full permissions on the network.....

so I'm lost.....Why can't the computer see Michael, but it can see Public only?

Some secret setting I need to adjust?

the circled yellow button is greyed out and when I right click I don't get the option for NEW or NEW SHARE

ps3 media server has no problems accessing this location

put in \\192.168.1.6\c$ and put in michaels username and password for the Pc, if he is an admin on there or anyone who is an admin on it. Failing that put a screenshot up of your shares to make sure michaels user profile is in the list.
