Networking options

Hi -

I've just bought an Xbox 360 (the reason I'm posting here is that this is a networking question rather than an xbox one). Rather irritatingly it doesn't come with a wireless network capability built in (since laptops, nintendos and all sorts of other things that have a major wireless feature do, I kind of expected it to be already there, but...).

I have two options - buy a wireless network adapter for the Xbox (price £50 ish), or try one of the network extenders that plugs into a power socket. Can anyone give me any advice on these as I've never used one? Do they work well? What makes should I look for and how much (roughly) should I pay?

Thanks for any advice! :)

the PS3 does also ;) *OH NOES WHAT DID HE SAY*

just buy the official wireless badger, saves faffing around with other network connectivity options and the price difference is not that much.

Thanks fonzee -
I did see the ongoing debate about PS3 and Xbox, but since it's for my son and he's got a gang of xboxers around him, I didn't have much of a say in the matter! Bit of a pain though - it doesn't cost much to add integral wireless connectivity these days does it?
