networking question

theres 6 rooms in the house im in so the router looks like this

would a switch be the best option if so *** spec switch for under £20 would u recommend???

Does this go router>switch>xbox...... and the other PCs are plugged into the router?

If so a switch will do the job, any unmanaged switch will do it for that budget. the question is how big do you want to allow for future expansion?

if possible, plug all the pcs into the switch as well as xbox and such, that way the router will only have the switch plugged into it, that way the only data that the router has to deal with is internet traffic, and the switch can deal with the LAN traffic.
