I really don't know why people are so impressed by Elon Musks antics. What huge leaps for mankind has space x made? Have his electric cars brought affordable electric motoring to the masses? Did PayPal revolutionise the banking industry?

This new enterprise of his will go the same way:

• There will be lots of discussion about possible outcomes
• People will argue about the ethics
• Musk will plough a ton of money into it
• Nothing will change, but a few rich people will have electronic implants and feel like superior humans.

That's not what's happening though, the computer isn't predicting anything. Did you watch the video? It's been trained to create an input to a program after analysing the correlation between the real input and the corresponding brain activity.
