Never had apple products

Hi Everyone,
Some info on where to go/what to do ??!!
I'm looking at getting an Apple ? for some music projects...which will be mainly plugging in various guitars and ukes for music production.
What in your opinions would be the best places to start,for buying second hand and configurations.
I've started to read up on Apple stuff,but not being used to the jargon ( only had pc's ) I'm getting a bit muddled as what's best for me.

What's your budget and do you need a laptop or desktop?

Could go to about 450-500 at a push
Not too fussed as I'll hopefully be running it thru a tv screen

Should be able to get a half decent MacBook Pro for that, might be a few years old though.

Try and find a local on Facebook or Gumtree, so you can inspect in person before you decide to buy.
