I've read that Libre Office is gradually reducing Java dependency. May soon be time to switch.

I've rethought the OP's statements, and realised that he does have some good points. So instead of conducting business normally though IP protocol, and have decided to switch all my internet traffic to use the IPoAC standard instead. Hopefully this will prevent any nasties getting onto my computer.
