...until I found DiRT! Wow - What an excellent game. It's realistic, but quite arcad-ie at the same time! The graphics & sound are excellent and I really like the voice support where you can press 'Y' and they talk a bit about the type of tracks etc etc
I also get bored quite easily and the different types of cars, racing and tracks keeps you interested all the time.

I would really reccomend this - Top Game :)

Erm no, it really isn't.

Whilst I enjoy the trucks and buggys, the God-awfull rally cars ruin the game for me. The handling of them is just dire.

I seriously hope your joking...

Ive never played a rally game before where the cars have had so much grip on ice.

Have i missed something?.....What ice?.....I have finished it and i never saw no Ice? :o

There is no ice lol.. its a poor excuse for a rally game imo.. Cars handle ssoo badly and the grip you get on dirt is really bad.. i got less grip on froza on a tramac track! It really throws you off your game when you exspect it to slide even alittle..

Its dire

gorgeous graphics, slick presentation, and a decent car game.

not a patch on forza2 mind, but then what is?

and streets ahead of the likes of NFS, burnout TDU etc.

Its a carp rally game but I enjoyed it once I got used to it. I preferred it to forza. A poor release that somehow I found entertaining towards the end.

Career was rubbish but the championship more in keeping with old CM games.

Totally disagree, especially with regards to burnout. The problem with DiRT isn't the fact that it's not realistic, there's nothing wrong with fun arcade physics, but DiRT's physics are just dire. Too much grip, brakes that stop on a sixpence.... Where is the slidey fun of the older CMR games?

Burnout is a great arcade game, as is TDU. The current top-dog for arcade physics for me at the moment though is Flatout UC. Now THAT is how to make great arcade physics.

I'm really looking forward to the new Sega Rally too, it looks like it's going to be everything DiRT should have been: slidey, drifty arcade fun.

Lets hope so or Nintenjo get's it. :D

I agree it was nothing like the CM games of old. None of the mixed stage conditions. No weather or night. It was pretty poor compared to old CM games.

Mostly I enjoyed peak hill on the new one.

Wrong game buddy !!

DiRT is a fantastic game that achieves the goals it was designed to achieve, it's fun, fast and very playable. I love it.

Forza2 LCE is collecting dust on the shelf while DiRT is getting a right good seeing to atm.

:)

I love it, the cars handle like a dream for me , can't remember the last time I crashed or even scraped my car.
