random thread title I know. I was just thinking though, there is probably many many people in the world who have never seen a picture of themselves or their own reflection. Its really weird, i cant imagine not knowing what I look like..
 
I'm assuming the vast majority of people have, despite lacking mirrors or cameras, due to the reflective nature of most liquids.

Maybe if you lived in the desert where water was a rare thing then yes maybe your theory is right but this will be a very rare case.

Just reminded me, I walked up a set of stairs today in plain view of a full length mirror, actually excused myself and stepped aside as it was a narrow staircase.

....took me a minute.
 
he was making a clear distinction about people who haven't seen a picture of themselves, which suggests the type of person he was talking about was a sighted person, otherwise the question would be referred to people who have not seen ANY face at all, including their own.
 
There was photos of a tribe that were never contacted before in Africa not long ago, its possible they haven't seen themselves properly, as having not contacted the rest of the world they most likely lack the tools to make a highly polished surface, and reflections is water generally have ripples and you would need perfect conditions to get a good reflection. Also, if you subscribe to the beliefs of evolution that at some point there were cavemen, our ancestors, they would never have seen themselves clearly either.
