Never was a Marilyn Manson fan but been finding a few tracks on you tube which I really like.

Plus now that I am about 10 years older than the first time I heard Manson, I can appreciate some of his tracks as art, which is not something I was able to do before.

Any Manson albums worth checking out?

These are the tracks Im liking at the moment:

And obviously this is a really good remake of Sweet Dreams.

Great but don't touch his last few albums.

Antichrist Superstar
Mechanical Animals
Holy Wood

are all just brilliant, Golden Age of Grotesque is very good as well.

Couple of my favourite tracks:

Mechanical Animals seems the best album to me so far.

Every track is well developed and the album is listenable. IE no tracks you think, Im just going to skip that one.

I always held Mechanical Animals in high regard; it was his [their!] high point, I thought.

Then one day, Antichrist Superstar just clicked. Now, I think it's his/their magnum opus, by some margin.

Golden Age and Holy Wood have their merits too, however. But AS is the five-star work.

Yea good track, listing to it right now.

Shame Manson has such a bad rep, becuase there are some damn good tracks by him. Take away the imagery and just listen to the music, its pretty good!

Ignore the bad 'rep' and read his autobiography, he is an amazing guy who has been through a lot.

I read it about 10yrs ago, was a pretty interesting read, I especially like the propaganda at the back from "fans" and so called "critics" they literally just made up nonsense about him and his shows, silly christians.

Holy Wood is a corker.

Bold statement alert.....

I would go as far as saying in some way, Lady Gaga has copied the style to some degree.

Obviously she is just pop, but there is some similarity there I think. Some of her videos are drenched in base human need, sin and fetish imagery, similar to Manson.

Take away the metal guitars and add the synth it's pretty much the same

I see what you mean and to be honest I reckon that if they did a song together it would be awesome.

Best moment I've heard on any of Radio 1's 10 hour takeovers was Spoonful of Sugar from Mary Poppins, followed by Marylin Manson's Tainted Love. How random can you get?
