Neverwinter Nights 2 Official Thread

i end up putting all casters on puppet mode, a bit slower but then they actually do what they're meant to do.

Me Sorcerer aoe damage
Qara aoe damage
Nekisha single point damage from behind
Khelgar as tank and damage

Nekisha does big damage if you spec her with dual wield and say small sword specs. Can off-tank good as well with her dodge rate.

So stoneskin and mage armour on all, then cats grace, bulls strength and charisma on relative peeps. With that don't even need a healer class so far.

Loving this game so far, unfortunatly i'm totaly stuck and can't get past a game-breaking bug :(

/Spolier!

I'm in Act III, just failed to ally with Lizard guys - on my way back to Crossroad i get a message about an encuonter, unfortunatly this one encounter is totaly corrupt in the game folder - tried everything to fix it with no success.

What i'm asking is if anyone has a save game past this encounter they could share with me, dont mind about character etc, just want to see the rest of the game. Since it's so frustrating to have so many hours wasted by 1 bug :(

Can anyone explain where the frick Qara came from? I haven't met anyone as an NPC called Qara... and unless i've missed something I have no idea why all of a sudden when someone wants to join my party she is there. I don't really mind and everything... but it irks me that she seems to be there for "no reason" and that we haven't been introduced via the plot... seems she's just appeared from nowhere.

Spoiler alert (well tiny one)

You meant her outside your uncles pub like the 2nd/3rd time going in there (after one of the first neverwinter quests). She's having an argument with some wizards and you help/break it up/kill all.

Ahhhhh **** I forgot all about that. Reson why i didnt click was because no matter where am on the world map, when i meet party NPC's the option to recruit her is there... bit odd considering she's supposed to be working n the pub absolutely miles and miles away eh?

The pub should be the only place you can recruit her, that's very sloppy design.

Err...

1) Use abilities - NO

2) Overkill spellcasting mode - YES

Job done!

WTF?

Overkill spellcasting mode? What a pants description for a druid doing her job. The cheat text for that implies the druid will just use her high powered spells first, NOT use low level spells on other team mates.

I mean ffs, thats what spellcasters do, buff teammates and kick-arse high damage spells.

This may be a stupid question... but how do I get party members to rejoin me? I'm in Uncies Inn and I can't see anywhere in the dialogue that invited them back to the party like there was in NWN...

Go to leave the inn, and the party selection screen appears

****~#*##*! Bloody typical... I spend 15 minutes exhausting every dialogue line I can with every character and all I had to do was leave the ****** inn. lol! :D

Anyone else playing this with Vista? I've installed the 64bit version. Just gave it a quick spin last night and seemed to work alright, eventually crashed when trying to quit anyway.

Sent them an email via the link listed earlier asking for the cloth map, added my address and attached a pic of the le with everything laid out in front of the monitor. Did that last Thursday or Friday I think.
