Whilst redecorating my room I found Neverwinter Nights, for some reason I never played passed the tutorial !

I must have been busy and forgot about the game, so now that I've found it im going to give it a shot.

Just wondering for those that have played it, what class did you like the best?
Is it hard to play a caster as you need to rest a lot to get your spells up ?
Or anyone come up with a weird multiclass that was fun ?

A majority of the time a warrior is fun to play, but sometimes you need a bit of magic damage for the physical immune mobs. Cleric was pretty fun (if im thinking the right game, theres a few like nwn)

Rangers are also very underrated.

If you have (or could get) the expansions, your character can take prestige classes, like weapon-master or champion-of-torm.

How about a druid-shapeshifter-monk. Think dragon/ninja

First time round take a pure fighter and when you get to the main chapters get Tommy Undergallows (thief) as your henchman.

Brilliant game, I've completed it and the expansions several times.

:D

You should try NWN online. There are a massive number of free servers offering everything from mainly action, to mainly role playing.
At the moment I'm on a mainly action (read easy and fairly mindless killing) server. It's more of a tactical wargame than an RPG, but it's a pleasant way to spend some time, especially as my GF has it installed onto her PC and we get to play as a team.

Ref builds, check some of the online forums.
Personal favourites include:
- Fighter/Rogue/Shadowdance. That allows you to "dissappear" using Hide in Plain sight whilst in the middle of combat, so you can heal up, then go back using sneak attacks again.
- Champion of Torn/Bard/Red Dragon Disciple. That's how to get Devastating critical from 21st level.
- Monk/Shadowdancer. The monk part of it gives lots of spell resistance, VERY useful.
