So I've got a new pc build lined up with help from two users on the new pc section. Now am looking at getting a monitor lined up, have a budget of £200-£300 (ish) and aim to game at 1440p looking to use a 6750xt gpu.

Can anyone recommend anything please ?

Slightly above your price range but stunning wide screen (3440x1440) monitor, very happy with it.

Looks good, although slightly over budget. I've already gone ove my budget for the new pc build list and then I remembered that I'd not even thought about a monitor. So this is already added extra on top of my budget.

I was thinking of getting the Philips 27" from oc, seems to have everything that's needed its 144hz. If you wanted to go 165hz then they have a gigabyte monitor for £270 that's also 27" both are 1440p

Or you can get a 32" lg 165hz and all the trimmings for £280

There is a lot of options

Personally I don't like curved screens just seems alien to me and does my eyes in.

Yeah, so many options. Not sure to go curved for that more immersive display. Especially wanting to do flight sim and driving games

It's probably just personal preference. I like the fact that I can have a good field of view. :)
seems to be a few options at widescreen below the £300 mark and a couple like you pointed out for £350 ish for ultrawide

was looking at using the ps5 on the gaming monitor as well, so am guesing thats possible on ultra ?

I've never had/used a PS so won't comment. Will wait for somebody more knowledgable to respond.

One comment on budget, your PC is a constantly evolving thing, over a 3-5 year period you will probably replace some or all of the components. A good monitor will outlast 2 or 3 PC builds and it’s what you look at ALL THE TIME. It’s definitely worth stretching to get a really good monitor.

Thats a fair point, just need to convince the misses on that one :-)

PS5 supports 1920x1080, 2560x1440 and 3840x2160 resolutions.
Though the support for middle one is likely still half assed:
At least in fall when support was finally released variable refresh rate wasn't possible at 2560x1440.
And number of games working directly with it limited, with others just downscaled from 4K with its fps penalty.

Sony completely dropped the ball in apparently never thinking about other than 1920x1080 and 3840x2160 resolutions.

One thing to remember when coosing aspect ratio:
When marketing says ultrawide, what they mean is ultra low:
Those hog almost 36 incher's worth of desk space, but give you only 27" worth of image height.

Just be sure you want an ultrawide monitor it takes s8me getting use to.

After doing some reading, think am going give ultrawide a miss and just go 32" 1440p curved either 144mhz or 165mhz.

Keep getting drawn to this monitor

seems to get some decent reviews over on you tube and at £320 is just over my budget.

Also it'll allow me to use the ps5 at 1440p 120mhz although with no vrr.... but am used to using a 4k Hisense tv which I don't think has vrr anyway.
