New 1tb drive

I have purchased a Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache.

Doing some benchmarks with HD Tune I am averaging 115MB/s read speed, while my old Samsung windows drive is doing half that.

Would I nottice a difference if I put my os on there?

Or will it be a lot of messing about for nothing?

yes there would the newer HDD is made from less platters so its faster but OS would be faster if you can be bothered to reinstall windows that is

I have the time and patience, just wanted to make sure it would be worth it and I would notice the difference. I'll have a go tomorrow.

Could you ghost over the hard drive or is a fresh install the best way?
