New 2010 iPhone Rumours

A larger res would be most welcome. I really can't wait to see that A4 chip benchmarked though.
 
960x640 is 4 times the pixel count of the current iPhone. That seems like too extreme of a transition to me.

Though I'm sure it would be sweet if well tailored for.

Perhaps, but it's only slightly larger than most of the other smartphones on the market (800x480). The "HD3" is rumored to have an even larger resolution screen, however that is just as fanciful as the iPhone rumors.
 
It will depend on the DPI of the screen, not just the resolution.

I'm guessing it'll upscale current apps (like the iPad) if they do make the next iPhone with bigger screen real estate though :)
 
Also bear in mind that one of Apple's targets was to have a pocketable device, once that is slim yet able to fit in your trouser/jean pockets.
 
I'm hoping there are some good changes. As ive had the original iphone since the day it came out in the states and i think its about time i upgraded.
