NEW 2010 LIAN LI CASES - PRE ORDER NOW

The original X2000 cost is way higher than our last buy also.

A 1.43 GBP to USD rate is causing issues.

There is the same arguement going on in the Memory forum about the prices of RAM too..

How on earth can you take your case price and split it into years ?????
Dude ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I have a Lian Li PC-A71 that cost less than £200
Now those cases offer no more than mine and yet we are looking at circa £500
That is waaaaaaaaaaay too much

Cost of case / years owned = cost per year :p

They may just be an evolution rather than a revolution, but they def pack more style and features than your A71. Spending £500 on a graphics card which drops to half its value in 12 months is over priced and a waste of money. Spending decent money on a case which will last many years and retain a good 2nd hand value is money well spent.

Dont get me wrong, i'd like it if the new Lian Li's were cheaper; but as an investment for your PC I think it is money well spent.

7fnwx looks ideal for me but is simply waaaay too much money :( If it drops to around the £120 mark I'd jump at it, until then I'll stick with what I have.

+1 on this, ive been waiting weeks and weeks to replace my shark and got my eyes set on this only to be disappointed by the price...

US stock price is estimated to be something like 165 (at the mo I can only find one stocked in Canada but close enough) which turns out to be about 110 GBP I expected there to be a bit added to bump it up to 120 maybe 130 but not another 50 on top of that lol quite disappointed really was looking forward to grabbing myself one :(

The 8FIR looks smoking hot :)

Shame I don't have the cash to get that + I just got a Fractal R2, so I don't really need to get it :p

The exchange rate at the moment can't be the only reason, it's only at levels similar to january/february last year and things were not that expensive then. Also metal prices although on a slow rise atm are no where near what they were two years ago and even last January they were higher (but falling).

The only other thing that I can see spiking prices now is the trouble in Thailand but still these prices are pretty high.

Still the best cases out there mind.

Don't forget that shipping costs have increased massively. At each part of the shipping process each person has pushed prices higher which may not seem a lot but add them all up and you'd be surprised.

On cases which are heavily affected by volumetric weight, carriers are charging substantially more.

lol you no there all driving bentleys at lan li :D

lovely cases and Lian Li PC-X900B Full Tower Aluminium Case - Black @ £399.99 inc VAT is quite sexy but 400 quid lol .

+ another 1 here. Looks exactly what I'm after but there's no way I'm paying £185 for one. Black internals and USB3 ports for an extra £90? No thanks.

The PC-8FIR looks very similar to the ATI crossfire one that Lian Li did about eighteen months ago now. Quiet nice. Shame it's a midi. Think the other one was a full tower.
