new 500gb from This week only

just got a new 500gb hdd. as i connected the sata cable to it, it snapped, the plastic bit connected to the hdd, the drive works but not sure if i should return it as it is brand new? i could try gluing it back but that would be too much work and tricky.

Don't think you will be able to return it now, as you've just said you broke it. :/

Not sure, this will probably get deleted anyway, but best wait for someone else to give you advice

Contact the shop and explain the situation truthfully.
