Glad you like it. Can the darkness issue be resolved by calibration?

Do companies still have calibration files that you can manually load on to the TV or does it all have to be done through TV options?
 
Haven't tried any calibration tools, watched a YouTube vid on "best settings" but it's still a bit hit and miss on dark areas
