New 5970 problem already

Ive seen a lot of people having the same kinda problems as the OP, seems to be a common problem with freezing on start up, this is why I'm put off getting a 5970
 
Ive now changed my overclocking down to 400/400 as my pc would most of the time freeze when i changed it to 500/500 so hopefully that will stop that problem:p
 
Rather than start a new thread I was wondering if someone would have the answer to a little problem?

I can change the profiles clocks on Vista 64 but I have just been trying to do the same on Win7 64 and although it lets me get to the point where you'd change the text e.g.

<Property name="want_0" value="50700" />

Normally I'd just change 50700 to 30000 but when I attempt to it just goes back a step, as if I have clicked back a page. There must be a simple answer to such a little problem. Does anyone know or can help? :)
