Posted a few days ago about getting a new rig but decided with the 8800's coming out I'd up the budget a bit :D:D

So next wednesday I'll hopefully order an 8800 GTX if theres any left :D

Got about £1300 for the rest of the rig :)

Was thinking Conroe with 2gig ddr2 and a 150gig raptor (will add another drive later for storage)

Will be coupled eventually to a 24" TFT at xmas time hopefully

So the 8800 will be in stock to buy next wednesday?Nice rig by the way, also do you know the price of the G80 will it be more than £400?

Change the 8800GTX for an 8800GTS and you will be fine...

8800 GTS
E6600
ASUS p5W Deluxe/ABIT AW9 MAX (or other x975 based mobo)
2GB Gskill 6400 HZ

SHouldn't be too bad if you save the cash. :)

Ive got the money for a GTX?!

What do I need case/psu/cooler etc wise to get the most out of it?

CPU and GPU will be clocked :D

lol... mistook burtieb's post for yours... was in context for the thread, sorry about that. :D

Change my rig for a GTX and add an OCZ GameXtream 700w, a Tuniq Tower 120 and as for the case that's usually a personal thing... decide for yourself. :)

No... and no. Change your username. :p

Well to be fair Seasonic and Enermax are probably at least on a par with the OCZ and may be better but the Tuniq Tower is better. :)

Case-wise I'd be looking at the old faithful - Akasa Eclipse 62 as it is still a great case with good cooling and airflow.

OCZ customer service is second to none... and that counts for a lot... and the Seasonics/Enermaxes are in my opinion only on a par if anything, not better. And that's backed up by countless expert reviews and user experiences. :)

my username is not talking about my computer knowledge it's just talking about me in general

Was tounge in cheek, hence the smiley. Nice to know you're so modest though, I like it. :D

If your buying the 8800, I'd consider the new nvidia 680 chipset motherboards due for release at the same time as the 8800s. It's supposed to be pretty damn good! :D
