When is R600 due? TBH I would save £100 on the Raptor and spend another £100 to get a E6600

Yep, 3.6GHz+ is pretty common for the E6600, not so much for the E6300.

They keep delaying it. AFAIK, it is due this month or next. In any case, it is long overdue.

8800 GTX looks like its gona be a decent price now, Gibbos said in the graphcs card section that BFG are shipping another shipment off em to him, so hes got plenty to go round now.

R600 is due around Feb, when Vista hits.

Decided on the rig above but with a 6600 - roll on wednesday

yeah save up. ive saved up £800 so far for my pc ( which i'm being excl vat :cool:

) by saving £50 a week. it isnt that hard to be honest. i bring my own lunches to work which saves me a lot of money, and also dont eat as much chocolate, and use the local buses now and again.

So the MB-108-AB Abit AW9D-MAX Intel 975X boards are pretty good boards then?

Might pair one up with a E6600.

Sorry to hijack slightly, but why is this combi not recommended? Lol, it was the combo i was thinking of..... i do want to oc it as much as poss without altering too many settings (ie. voltage too high)

My 8800GTS only just fits in my Coolermaster Mystique. And I mean ONLY!! The PCI-E connector is hard up against the drive bays. I if you want the 8800GTX I really don’t think it will fit
