new AC fibre modem router needed

hi

are there any good solid performers suitable for FTTC (currently with SSE, there router is crap) for under £80.

will be connecting laptops wirelessly, homeplugs for my main pc that attach to a 8 port gigabit switch.

Is it a modem, router or modem+router you are looking for?

£80 is a bit tight.. I personally would use the BT openreach modem with a mikrotik routerboard, but it depends on your technical ability as they're not straight forward to configure..

Drayteks are out of your budget by the looks of it (maybe second hand would be OK?)..

Other than that no experience to offer good advice from.

TP-LINK Archer VR600 is ok and costs around £100. The chipset is Broadcom based so works great with BT huawei cabs.

cheers. i like tp link so i'll take a gander. i could stretch higher but may invest in a rx480 as well.
