NEW AMD!

In the Bulldozer thread one report stated the FX 8 series won't retail until September. If that turns out to be true then I've given up on Bulldozer I don't care if it is faster the SB come September Intel's Ivy Bridge is just around the corner.
 
unless you are desperate it would be best to wait a week or 2, see what happens with the BD launch. should bring down the prices of the older tech a bit if you still want them
 
I am not buying ASAP anyway. Will see what us available when I go to buy. Not bothered about ivy bridge, only want AMD :) Thanks everyone

Keep the Antec. It's an absolute bargain for an extra £5.

In fact, so much so I'm starting to wonder if it's not a mistake.

i still dont see the need for more than 4 cores for most people including gamers :S will surely just hamper over clocks.

In that chart, why does the TDP of the FX range go down as core number increases?

It's possibly because the FX-4110 and 6110 are failed 8core chips that some will need extra voltage to work so will still keep the TDP about the same.

Will be interesting to see if there is any FX-4110 unlocking to FX-8110 goodness :D

i could not be Ar5ed to wait lol so i recently went SB, For some reason as a Ex AMD fanboy (back in the day of the 1.4 athlons lol AMD just dont appeal to me any more. could not be happier with my SB :D
