Wow, I just checked, the Gateshead Senators are still going. I saw the odd game & did a bit of training with them in the early/mid 90's. Looks like they moved out of the International Stadium though.. shame.

Kent Exiles, Im in SE London, 20 minute drive or so away from me.
Edit: Found a team based in Eltham where i'm from. Turns out there is also an Eltham in Australia, bit of a commute.

A lot of the older teams (doesn't go for all of them mind you) tend to be quite laid back about recruiting new players... which is a total backwards approach.
In all honesty the best thing you could do is just turn up at one of their training sessions. All you'll need is normal sports kit (tshirt/shorts/socks), pair of boots and your sorted.

Trying American Football is on my list of things to do, I don' think I ever will though as I don't think there is a team near me.

In a very tough division though
Cardiff Uni have a team as well, but obviously.. you have to be going to that uni to play
If you are willing to Travel a little bit then there is always Bristol Apache.

Yeah it was them, I am injured for the foreseeable future so wont be there for a while.
