I wonder if there will be any updates to the 17" MBP line? Work are due to order one in the next few days and I'm wondering whether I should tell them to hang fire.

I'd bet strongly against it, besides there's no point, if it does what you want now then there's no point waiting. There will always be a better model in a few months time...
That doesn't really hold any water when there might be an update in a few hours time....

Waiting for a day or so should be no big issue for business, and if buying multiple machines might make sense.
The whole "don't wait for new hardware arriving" maxim is quite appropriate in most cases, but the day before (potential) new hardware it doesn't work.
I doubt there will be new hardware appropriate for him, but waiting 24 hours to find out shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah, some of it I almost believe though, the mac mini parts would fit with the rumors going round and the new power adaptor for a new macbook would be a obvious fit...bah...damn this suspense

There was a FFC patent filing that came through today for new Time Capsule/AirPort Extreme so I believe that.
The rest seems logical, but as always we never know 100%
