Hi guys. I have just installed a new CPU cooler, the artic freezer 7. When I boot the pc it says CPU fan error, press f1 to continue. I looked inside the case and the fan is doing nothing, even though I have connected it to the correct motherboard CPU fan slot. Any ideas ? Thanks

There seems to be a problem with the later 7's I have noticed on Ebay quite a few for sale with non working fans, take it back for refund.

Can you plug the fan into another header on your board just to be sure? If it still doesn't work then I would RMA the heatsink and fan.

All 4 cores go into 80=90 degrees when gaming...What the heck is wrong now :S It's installed properly with new thermal paste, i don't understand

I'd try removing and re-installing it again. Maybe a big air bubble or something in the thermal paste?

Must say I've never really been that impressed with the AFPro7. Got one myself and it's alright but not setting the world alight.

They're cheap and cheerful. For sub £20 you can't really expect wonders, the only real competition in that price bracket is the Coolermaster TX3 which I slightly prefer after having tried both.

Have you done all the checks? like right fan header, correct fan direction, etc. Even so that does seem very high. Is it seated securely? Also how much tim did you use and what method?

That does sound really high,as said, take it off, clean off thermal paste,re apply paste, and reseat..they can be a pain to seat correctly.
