Evening all,
I acquired a ATI HIS 7950 today from overclockers to replace my Nvidia 570. and I'm having an issue I hope you can help me solve.
I fitted the HIS 7950 card this evening, the fans on the card spin and the monitor stays black and removes the 'Check signal' message as if it is receiving a signal from the card but no image ever displays.
I've tried the 7950 in several PCI-E slots as well as switching the 6-pin power cables being plugged into it but no luck. I've plugged my Nvidia 570 back in twice and its displayed instantly twice, the on-board graphics also display.
I've also tried uninstalling the Nvidia drivers, restarting and installing the ATI Catalyst drivers then plugging the 7950 back in but again no luck.
Could this card just be dead on arrival? Unfortunately I don't have another PC to plug it into at this moment in time.
Any ideas on how to solve this would be greatly appreciated!
For reference the power supply is a Corsair TX-750w and the motherboard is a gigabyte Z77x-D3H.
