Just saw this over on PistonHeads:

Audi RS6 610BHP

Should be absolutely brilliant if the RS4 is anything to go by.

I'm a big fan of Audi so would be pleased to see this give the M5 a hammering...

in a straight line and in the wet - yes. however i doubt it will be as good a drivers car or as rewarding to drive.

Not for me.

RS4 I liked but it did not tick all my boxes.

Now a sorted RS5 might just be an Audi I'd go for.

A recent leak of chassis codes revealed that the BHP rating will be 571, but an Audi insider has claimed that it is going to be closer to 610bhp.

Well thats ok then because I'd have been really disappointed if it was only 571 bhp

I've driven the RS4 twice and the S5. Excellent build quality, superb interiors and great engines. They both lack driver involvement, the S5 is numb and disconnected and the RS4 was not so bad but not enough to keep me grinning on a daily basis.

I think for the cruising ability and the look of the thing i could put up with being slightly disjointed from the road, deffo a car on my future list when they hit 20k ish.

That's mad really isn't it. 610bhp in a 4x4 estate, and F1 cars 'only' put out 900bhp! That acceleration must be brutal... :eek:

700+ with some further mods, or even just that from a remap?

I wouldn't be surprised if Audi quoted a 0-60 time of under 4 seconds. :eek:

AFAIK they do a manual RS6 but only sell it in the USA? Why; they dont like manuals at the best of time!

Very werid. Americans do hate stick shifts but oh well.
