New Bambu Labs P2S

I ordered one yesterday, hoping that the enclosure will help with warping issues compared to my A1
The only warping issues I've had on my A1 is when I've not properly cleaned the bed and to be on the safe side used some DimaFix and never had an issue since. Do you have your A1 in a particularly drafty area?

If you are keeping your A1 as a second printer, I would try some DimaFix

Does it really make that much of a difference?

I set all PLA filaments as Bambu Basic and never had any issues, I think it prints faster as well.
Have you selected the profiles in the list in the settings menu and loaded the correct profile for the filament on the device page?

I go to 'Devices' at the top, select my printer (In this case P1S with AMS) Under Control, I select the relevant AMS Slot, manually select the Filament profile and confirm. I then go back to 'Prepare' and then select the corresponding AMS Filament.

Edit / I've just done a quick check between Bambu PLA Basic and PloyTerra PLA with the same model and settings, after hitting slice Bambu is 1min slower but uses 1g less

Before you do that, there is an option in the slicer settings where you can enable or disable the profiles from showing in those drop downs.

There are profiles for what feels like 100’s of filaments from all the top brands in this list. I’ve got almost all of them disabled so I only have to worry about scrolling though the list of filaments I actually own.

It's hit and miss... If I'm honest it's never been a huge issue that's ruined anything and only been really noticeable when I have been printing very close to the edge of the plate. I'm generally pretty good at keeping the plate clean but it could be that at times.

Very tempted by the P2S and AMS 2 as an upgrade. It'd be a big change from the Anycubic Mega X that I have had for 4ish years now. Bed a bit smaller, but the rest would be a step up, especially in the speed area.

From a few things I've seen from people who have them, needs a couple of firmware revisions to get to the print quality of the P1S, but that's had a couple of years of development.

Deffo prints faster, I guess not either. Im running a load of Sunlu PLA+2.0 atm and it can be picky. Just created a custom profile for it.

Mine also arrived, but will be sat in the box until I can make it a nice space on some shelving in the garage.

Very tempted with the bundle deal of the P2S. I have been loving my A1 but definitely want to try printing in some stronger material I also love that the heated AMS 2 Pro is included.

Just had an email from Bambu The P1S Combo with the original AMS is £469 for black Friday and H2S Bundle with AMS 2 Pro is £1199.
They had some steep discounts on the P1S. Great if budget is a factor but £200 more gets you the new model of printer and AMS. So I don’t know as I did weigh up a P1S to replace my A1 but think I’ll try and unifi everything to P2S’s

Got the P2S setup now and it's been pretty plain sailing. Software is great, it's quiet enough and the prints have been pretty decent so far but I've i've only been doing the usual toolbox, scraper and just now been printing some portafilter holders that kept on failing on the M5C, so interested how it goes there.

I am glad that I started with the AnkerMake printer though, as the Bambu Lab seems to be 3D printing on cheat mode.

Got the M5C printing me out a poop chute for the P2S, I can see how people like to collect more than one printer.... I think I'll be perservering with the M5C until it really craps out or becomes to frustrating to even consider worthwhile turning on.

As I was typing this about an hour ago the P2S got clogged . Wasn't able to get the extruder to extract or retract, tried to unload the spool and that didn't work, in the end I just had to get aquianted with partial disassembly of the extruder after snipping free the offending PETG spool. Turned out that the filament had snapped at the hotend, the built in cutter had also snipped it somewhere before then aswell, so it was stuck in the filament sensor and was just a bit fiddly to get loose. All back together and printing again after 45 mins or so. Just hoping that's a one off...

Yerp. Buying another P1S/AMS combo for work purposes

Had you dried the PETG?

Which poop chute did you print, I should probably do one for mine.

I ad have 4 A1's. Sold two to get the P2S and likely sell the other two now and get another P2S. Phenomenal piece of kit

Was a fresh out the bag roll, never usually needed to dry, must have been lucky over the past year. Tested out the drying on the AMS over night and things have been way better today.

Went for this poop bin in the end as I have no space to the left hand side and liked the magnet fixings.

With PETG drying is strongly recommended. PLA is normally fine without drying but I found over the years drying both ensures best results. Magnets sound good, thank you

I had a clog in in the P2S today, I've never had a clog in the A1 in over a year and many rolls of filament through it. At least it's pretty easy to get to the nozzle and extruder
