new base unit (£850 max)

I need a new base unit I have £850 dont go over

parts I would like, 8800GTS, e6300
I also need to include windows cd (home sp2)

EDIT: pc is mainlly for gaming
(CSS, FEAR, BF2 would hope to get some decent fps on full)

Swap the 6600 with the 6300 OEM (As there is already a CPU cooler in that spec) and you have it!

I think I have everything now!
and in a nice budget too!

All I need now is a yes or no if its fine

Obviously you're going for a gaming rig and what u got looks good! I'd try and squeeze in 2GB RAM tho as most games take advantage of it now.

an ultra fast card but just 1 gig of ram?
Try to squeeze in another gig (as 2 previous posters said) its really worth it....

With 1 gig you can play bf2 and fear maxed BUT on the first 3 minutes, it'll be jumpy ( as it'll be trying to squeeze the game files into the ram removing windows apps etc, takes approx 2 minutes...) and in bf2 when on 1 ig and maxed sets, its pretty impossible to fly a jet as it'll freeze often when flying ( i'm talking from experiance)...

I would love to have 2 gigs of ram but as I'm only 16 getting £860 is enough trouble.

I will get another gig after jan sometime

I dont think not having two gigs will effect me for a few months
