New Benchmark "Lightsmark"

i thank its ati drivers thats not optimised for this benchmark because i clocked my 2900 to xt speed and i got about the same score as when i clocked it to 820/825

anyone with a 2900 and a intel cpu?

And when I put my GT back to stock speeds I only got a 6fps increase, I think its fairly apparent that its VERY CPU Limited.
 
God I wish they would start making GPU dependant stress tests, 3DMark is already all about bumming quad cores.

After all, what was the last game to show an increase at a res worth playing at with a quad core over a dual, aside SupCom.

I rekon GOW will show an increase with a quad, in DX9 and 10 my CPU is at 100% in GOW.

ROFL. So you've posted that there may be some people cheating or the benchmark might be inconsistent and that you're not taking part of it?. Erm ok then lol. Drop a bombshell and leave :p.

that looks like some nice clocks u have there man, is that stable? I think my card is from the same batch as yours but I didnt even overclock it 1MHz yet. What cooling have u got on that sucker?

If u have time can u drop into the cooling thread and run that test on your overclocked chip pls.

I will faint if thats on stock cooling! :o :D

Lol your GPU clockspeed just dropped before my eyes, now reads 722/1000/1800 :p

Hi m8, I thought I had it on 760 as that is what I have been using in 3dmark06, i checked after and it was 722 for some reason. I ran it again with 760 and it froze, thats the first freeze ive had and ive been running 3D06 and playing crysis with no problem.

The highest i can run the core on this is 740, so ive raise the shaders to 1860.

So 740/1000/1860



This is on the stock cooler with fan at 55%, i think your card is from the same batch as mine.

What cooling thread are you referring to ?
 
Getting ~220 with my 7950GX2 but my CPU is currently at only 3gig and the rubbish RAM I'm using til I get my normal stuff replaced is holding me back in performance generally so I'll try again when I've got it back.
