New Bike - Help Choose :D

Hey, just been reading the Bikes post..so i know you all know what your on about so i guess you can help me

.

I need to buy a new mountain bike..for around £500-550. I want it to be good as possible..i dont mind buying it in parts, if need be. If you can..as its local to be have a look at www.pearsoncycles.co.uk because its 5 mins away hehe.

yeah i have.. my mate works in one (thats where i tried to get it from) and they just sold all the model i wanted..so i gotta think of a new bike..was looking at some of the Trek's they are nice. Any ideas?

Could just get the 06 model? You should be ablt to get the disc one for ~£600 i'd have thought?
