New bike! I've lost a cylinder..

Wow! Didn't realise they were still making triples, so out of touch with today's bikes.
Had a Kawasaki KH-250 two stroke triple nearly 30 years ago,not that powerful, but it was a great bike for it's era, something special about having a triple.

Great bike. Test rode the 2012 late last year and it was my favourite of the sports. Demo had the quickshifter too :D

Yeah the R comes with a quickshifter as standard, it was my first time using one on the test ride... I was grinning like an idiot, hehe. Just hold the throttle open and throw it gears :D

I loved the look of the KH never rid one tho I had a RD 250 power bands hehe the good old days.

My brother bought one of those last year. Came with an Arrow can on it ;)

We swapped over on a ride out and its like riding a bullet fired from a gun..
Really great sound and quickshifter is ace too. Feels like being on a quick 125.

Damn it quad.

I've been speccing up my Street Triple R and it's quite expensive so keeping the options low. I hadn't heard anything on the quick shifter and have been avoiding the topic for ages because i know i'll want it.

Now i see your post above... curses.

Sorry, but the quickshifter is only noticeable once you've used one. If you never had one you wouldn't miss it. (Does that make sense):confused:

Well, I've got the bike home now and I have done 100miles today. :D

I'm still running it in, so i'm limited to 6,000rpm max at the minute, but it's still awesome! I LOVE the quickshifter and noise the thing makes.

I stopped off at H-cafe on way home and the attention the thing gets is great :)

I just can't wait until it is run in and there is less crap on the roads.. can really open her up then :)

It does make sense, thanks! :D

I'm going to have to get my bike on finance, but it looks as though Triumph's finance deals are hilariously bad... 14% APR? Other manufacturers offer 0-4%

Mine is on 0% for 3 years. you've chosen a bad time as they are just releasing all the new models and don't have to run offers for the early adopters. give it 6 months and there'll be something about.

0%? Nice one. Is that directly through Triumph or a dealer? Or a different manufacturer. Honda and Kwak have good deals.

Street Triple R comes to just under £9K specced up how i want it. A lot if you compare to say a Kwak Z or Honda Hornet. But the Street Triple is the bike i've wanted for some time now. Love it.
