I have to lop the ends of and splice them to another harness :p

I am sure it will be simple in practice but these things always look more daunting out of the box. Pick it up and its like "Teh hell" :D

Same as my mazda then just buy the convertor for £6 to make it iso, its really not worth hacking the loom for the sake of so little money.

I've used an adaptor and it's a total mess underneath. I can understand why he would want to chop them and do a neater job of it.

If we take that scenario into account which isn't the one i was originally commenting on then i fail to see the point, provided the wires are out of the way, not getting hot or snagged then making them neater is a waste of time and opens you up to loads of possible problems, not to mention the problem of fitting the stock HU back in if he is doing what i originally suspected and cutting into the cars loom.

I am buying a purpose built S2000 controller/harness to retain the dash controls and add functionality and speed variable volume control. The harness includes all the additional wiring for the controller + some extras that are S2000 specific.

This custom harness is not a direct plug and play for the Pioneer kit so it needs to be spliced on. Honda OEM <PnP> Custom harness <Spliced> HU/Dash Control Controller

I can do it outside the car and not have to cut the OEM Honda plugs so it's not an issue, the guy who makes the controller only does a PnP Alpine harness, just the way it goes :p

And fresh plates to replace the dated old ones, backside was warping and looked gash, no more screws either.

Also managed to find what was causing the roof to make a deep thudding noise over bumps. Turns out one of the bolt cylinders in the mechanism was metal to metal causing the noise, was visible abrasion of the black paint too!

£1 for 16 felt patches sorts that out :D

Couple of other bits to come and managed to find some heat shrink wrap and connectors locally for non stupid prices so as soon as my harness/Dash Control Interface arrives I can attempt chucking new head unit in. :o

#1. Where did you get those felt pads
#2. Why Powerflex? I hear they are good, but overpriced. I am looking at some and superpro are just as good for £100 less.

Kudos on the poly bushing though, defo the way forward. Are you fitting yourself or being sensible and paying someone £400.

Paying a Geo/suspension specialist with club discount to fit them, full geo setup afterwards. Also need to get the adjustment bolts greased too as they are not done from the factory and corrode :o Getting it all done at the same time.

I went Powerflex as a club trader offered a deal on them, got the lot+ARBs and the Spoon Compliance for under £320. The compliance bushes are a pain to get hold of and are not particularly cheap.

I got the felt pads from a local DIY store.

Another thumbs up here for Powerflex. They are definitely overpriced, but once you have them fitted you wonder how you managed without them.

I'd definitely be stocking up on butane refills for the blowtorch if all those old bushes need burned out. :p

Where did you get them sidelight replacement bulbs from mate and how much? They look exactly like what id like for mine colour wise to go along with the white H7's I have put on!

I got them from a place called Motaman

The sidelight ones are PIAA Tera 6000K - Here.

They are not cheap, but the cheaper ones tend to blow out all the time, hoping these ones have a better lifetime attached to them.

The rear plate ones are cheaper regular White/White PIAA LEDs - Here.
