Noticed this over at eurogamer, sounds like it could be a winner if they nail the level design. COD4 was fantastic so I hope Activision do the Bond license justice this time around! Let's hope Treyarch don't mess this up.

Quote:

"Activision also revealed the Call of Duty 4 engine is being used for the new James Bond movie tie-in. The game is due out this autumn, which is also when new film The Quantum of Solace will be released. It's being developed by COD3 developer Treyarch, also responsible for the Spider-Man 3 game."

I can see it now....great graphics engine.....

bad gameplay....come on its Treyarch, what do you expect :p

One is a James Bond game, the other is COD5. They could **** in the game case and it would still sell.

Both will be utter turd.

COD is getting old, and Treyarch didn't do a fantastic job of COD3 now did they.

They are also developing a PC version.

And then a Bond game aswell? No doubt to tie in with the new movie.

Talk about spreading yourself thin, and they aren't exactly the best to be spreading about in the first place.

Let Rare create the next bond i say, i quite enjoyed CoD3 in some aspects but it did not compare to the brilliance of CoD4. and here was me hoping for an extension on CoD4

CoD is getting old? I dont know about you but i wouldnt care one bit if the next 10 CoD games had exactly the same theme and similar missions, i'd still buy them all, i love the single player, just wish there was more and more levels of the same kind of gameplay

I think they could do a good job with this, the engine wont let them down anyway

I didnt think cod 3's single player was that much worse than COD 4. Obviously the multiplayer is worlds apart.

Not really that interested in Bond theme.

I couldn't agree more, the cod games are just awesome for the gameplay value alone, and COD4 was just mindblowing for me and also the best online shooter I played in a very long time.

People seem to be really harsh on CoD3 but I found it a perfectly enjoyable game and really liked how multiplayer worked (nice to include split screen online too).

the addition of vehicles made it terrible and some of the maps clearly weren't thought out too well. Didn't find SP as enjoyable as other COD games too

It wasnt a terrible game, its just i thought it felt a bit rushed and could have been better. I get the feeling im playing the same thing through the whole series. same goes for Medal of Honour to be honest, i stopped playing after pacific assault because i got the feeling it was repeteative.

Some games i admire a repetative streak but not in war games.

ive always loved the bond games, i dont know why as usually they werent too good. but the ones i did have were always a good laugh. i liked the weapon variations and the inclusions of gadgets.
