New Buid Nightmare :( Need Help

Ok here goes,

Everything is connected fine, i press power on the case , psu turns on , mobo fans turn on , then 2secs later it turns off.

Ive removed the battery for 5mins and put it back in on motherboard but still no progress. There isnt a jumper on the clear cmos on the motherboard. Hence went with battery option.

Now i took out the memory sticks to see if motherboard would beep to warn me about no memory etc etc, nothing. Its just the fans that turn on. I hear no beeps what so ever.

Im at a loss here.

Motherboard is MSI ZZA-G43
PSU OCZ ZT 550W `80 Pluz Bronze Modular
Memory : Crucual Ballistix Sport 8GB(2x4GB) DDR 3 PC3-12800C9 1600mhz Dual Channel Kit.

Ive not connected the 670gtx , or the ssd or 2tb hdd and dvdrom. As trying to find the fault.

Spent over 900 on this build from ocuk and i cant get it going :( 1st this has every happened to me, im experienced with building as well.

I dont know if its the motherboard ? or the PSU ? but the psu does turn on and gets the fans all going etc, then stops. Every other motherboard ive had beeps when you turn it on etc, im getting nothing at all from this one.

Really im at a loss.

Probably PSU, it might not be getting enough current from the wall or extention
plug it into the wall
 
try the power supply on its own with some fans on it.

have you got another psu you could try on the motherboard ?
 
I was going to go over the road to evil retailer to pickup another PSU soon to try it.

I do have the PSU connected to a extention lead , ill try from the wall
 
Not got the ram sticks connected, tried them in all slots, 1 at a time, still same result, gpu i havent connected up, because of this , Surely the motherboad would do the beeps when it cant detect ram! doesnt even do that.
 
doubt its the psu as both psus giving the same result, power up spin fans , then turn off.

again wouldnt motherboard beep if cpu was issue aswell.
 
Nooo dont have another spare mobo :( , gonna need to RMA that mobo then, and being holiday w.end it sucks even more . Need to prevail on lappy :(
 
I would say its your mobo mate. Ive had that 2 sec turn on thing before but the mobo worked for a few months then died. Yours is obviously dead out the box annoying for sure but just suck it up mate and get it returned thats all you can do. :)
