New build 1 week ago did all the stress testing games bf3 beta days on end with no hiccups. 2 days ago system just started turning itself off then won't come back on. The fan on the psu does not spin.

Happened yesterday and I left it 20 mins ot it back on and played crysis for 3 hours

Sound like the psu needs rma ?

Will upload videos in a sec to show you guys see what you think

Edit: videos, the blue lights power on then off then on again until it decides it's not trying at all :-(

Firstly, i would check and re-check all your connections. Ideally reseat all your connections, memory (make sure this is firmly pressed down), and gfx card - it's surprising how often a simple refitting of connections/HW can bring a new builds back to life.

Check at the same time that your MB is securely fitted and not moving about on the risers.

If none of the above helps disconnect everything leaving only the CPU/HS, 1 stick of memory, and the gfx card. Then reset the CMOS and check for signs of life. If it boots get into the BISO and load optimised defaults and then add components until it buckles - start with the other stick of memory first.

Alternate the memory and in different slots if nothing happens the first time.

If it staill fails try testing the PSU using the paper clip test - if you're unsure what i'm talking about i'll post details when/if you need them

Thanks for the advice tbh I did all those things apart from paperclip test last night when it first happened yesterday. The whole thing now is not trying to power the system on no matter how many configurations i try :-( I do pretty much think it's borked just wanted to get some added perspective so thank you.

Will go for the old paperclip test now....

Editnnot gonna do that just gonna ram the part
