Hey guys,
i've been looking over the forums for the past week or so, and finally decided to build my first machine. I am looking to run games like BF3, GW2 and Skyrim etc. at high/max settings with a resolution of 1920 x 1080.

I already have monitor, keyboard, mouse and operating system. I do need a case with it also, and have been looking at the Z11 plus zalman would this case be suitable?

Many thanks for your time and i look forward to seeing what you guys reckon.

Cheers :)

Nudging towards the top of your budget, but I've recently ordered pretty much the exact same rig which will arrive Monday, and I've found there's a huge difference in bang for buck at this level, for a few more quid here and there you end up with far superior components.

I've got mine a bit cheaper than the above too by making the most of 'today only' and 'this week only' deals.
However, as you don't get free shipping, buying 'deal' components requiring multiple shippings might be a false economy. Depends how much you're saving...

Oh, and welcome :)

To SLI the 670 you really need a 700W minimum PSU. If you aren't bothered about SLI you can save cash on both the mobo and the PSU as I have shown here. The Z11 doesnt have dust filters on those side gills so it's sucking in dust and the fans are small so will be louder......I have the Z9 it's a great starters case. Four 120mm fans, fan controller, digital temp display and cable management (P4/8 extension included). The fans and the extension cable must be worth £25 alone

i heard the WF are not good to SLi unless you have good case air flow because they put all the heat into the case not out
(incase you want to SLi in future)

Cheers for the great and fast response, i like the specs, i'm not going to sli unless the performance is a great increase with the price, also will i be able to overclock my cpu much with the cheaper coolers? As far as the case goes is it worth putting more money into one like Chris has suggested over the Z9?

Thanks again =)

If you're going to overclock you need to make sure you have decent cooling in your case, but the majority of cases are set up well these days.
One with good cable management would be best, and obviously you need to like the look of it too.

The case I've picked has space, cable management and I think it looks great, but it's also literally twice as expensive as the Zalman...
The case is probably the most subjective thing in a build, so check reviews, and unless what you're looking at has any major flaws, go with what you like :)

Mmmmmmmmmmmm....

Oh, and as for SLI, I specced to allow SLI later, however from looking around on here it seems that when you decide to upgrade you'd be better off getting a single better GPU than to SLI another of an old model.

(not from experience, I'm still very much a 'noob', just done a lot of research recently)
