New Build - £1000 (without GPU) - Flight Sim / 4K?

I've been keeping an eye on the new kit, etc thats been announced over the last few months after initially looking for a desktop build that either match or outperform the Zephyrus G14 (R9-4900) Laptop.

I quickly realised that would not likely be difficult!

That was way back in the summer and I know there are new GPU and CPU options now; I've also having tried Microsoft Flight Sim managed to get that bug so I'm keen to get something that would be plenty powerful for that.

I'm also keen on a fairly small desktop; it doesn't need to be tiny but I'd rather avoid a massive tower unti if I can.

If I was looking to spend £1000 on just PC components and maybe a keyboard! but excluding a GPU - what would folk now suggest?

Hi Micky, I've an eye on a 3080 probably although I might go for an AMD, depends what I can get my hands on!

WiFi would be a bonus but generally my PC is cabled into the LAN
