Hello

Im looking to build a new system but im not up on all the new components like motherbored etc, so i was hoping that you could assist me and recommend some parts to build a new tower. I will need all the components to build the tower, i do not need any OS or peripherals. Only preference is that i would prefer nvidia cards :)

Thanks

As always, in order to make a good suggestion one would need to know what the system will be used for and, if it is for gaming, what kind of resolution you will be gaming at.

Lovely system right there my friend, just don't tell 95thrifles that i recommended an SSD to someone!

He stated a preference for an Nvidia GPU, i specced the mobo not particularly for multi GPU nut to have room for various other pieces he could save a few quid there depending on what he may or may not want to pop in down the line. As for the Hex Core, hes got a nice budget why not get the best AMD have to offer overkill i know but a sweet CPU imo.

OP could easily shave £120 of my build by getting the AMD 955 black edition and downgrading his mobo with no real loss to performance if he likes.

So why spec a crossfire motherboard if he wants room for stuff, almost any ATX motherboard will have enough slots.

As for gaming, quad core all the way.

Hmm i may actually have put the wrong mobo in now that i look at it :P, im playing with builds for myself aswell and trying to have room for 2xRadeons down the line.

As for the hexcore, doesn't hurt to be future proof if you've got the budget it is more of an epeen thing ill admit in hindsight however pehaps could save some money and get a stupidly high end GPU how about this...

I look at that spec and instantly think this,

You know im actually retarded, i ment to put in a 1.5tb HDD lol, so many windows open at the same time is making my brain hurt.

1. Use my 2nd build
2. Replace the HDD with http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-211-SE&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=1279
3. ??????
4. Profit

That HDD is only £1 more expensive and has 500mb more storage, this PC would be beautiful to behold and you have £35ish wiggle room with the budget for maybe a more imba case or somesuch.

Thanks for all the replys and help, I like the look of your second suggestion Gantoris :) I will have a look and probably order this weekend

No problem m8, ill be quite envious of you if you buy it im lookin at something similar but trying to cram it into a £1200 budget including monitor, peripherals and OS so having a hard time.

If gaming is your thing and you must have a solid state i wouldn't want to suggest less than 120gb considering the size of game installs these days. Personally id prefer a Phenom 2 build over an i5 but for most users it will make no difference except for the cost :).
