Hi guys, currently working on my second build and would like some input on the components. I am would like this build to be capable of running an SLI setup (but at the moment will run a very basic graphics card till i can get a better one in the future). My budget for the build is £800 and with its current setup should hopefully play medium graphics on games like Skyrim or battlefield 4.

I like using Intel processors but i am still in unsure whether the Maximus hero and i5-4570 is a good combination. I would most likely use the standard speed on the processor and not overclock (have no experience with overclocking). I would like the motherboard and processor to come to no more then £310.

I am not sure if the CPU cooler will fit on an 1150 board and would be grateful if someone could confirm this.

This is my current idea for the setup:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-4570 3.20GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £155.99
1 x Asus Z87 MAXIMUS VI HERO Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £149.99
1 x NZXT Switch 810 Ultra Tower Case - White £139.99
1 x MSI GeForce GTX 650 Black Knight OC 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £79.99
1 x Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-Bit - OEM (GFC-02733) £67.99
1 x Corsair Builder Series CX 600w Modular '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CP-9020060-UK) £62.99
1 x Avexir MPower Yellow Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U16000904G-2CM) £49.99
1 x Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (WD5000AAKX) HDD £38.99
1 x Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 CPU Cooler £19.99
1 x LG GH24NSB0 24x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £19.99
Total : £802.40 (includes shipping : £13.75).

I have only purchased the case so far so the rest is still on the drawing board, but the only real changes i would probably make would be to the CPU, motherboard and cooler.

Long post but i want to make sure everything is right before i start ordering and building. Thanks in advance :)

get 4670K
I'd get GB Sniper board for £120
GPU is weaaaaaaaaak, probably 270X with all the 5 free games
PSU - Superflower 650W is £59.99, although overkill, but same price as 550W, so why not
HDD - £10 more for 1TB
Cooler - get something better, at least 212 Evo.
Case - damn, that's expensive, Carbide 200R would do, if I was spending £140 it would be on 750D.
RAM - you can get 2400MHz for about £5 extra.

An idea of what you could get, mobo has sli capability, ssd, 1tb hdd, better gpu.

I 110% say go with an sdd, boot your os and some key apps on there, hdd for everything else. I would say go with a 120gb ssd and a 270x but that blow your budget towards £900.

As I said, just an idea of what you can get
