hey all,

ive just built my new system :-) its mega cool lol here it is...

i7 860 2.8 Ghz
2 X Radeon 5770
1 TB HDD
8G ram
ASUS MAXIMUS FORMULA III

thats the beef of it anyways...

my problem is that crysis works with everything at maximum... perfect and sexy... but one thing is bugging me... and that is the fact that clouds appear to be flashing and stuff... so i messed about a bit and in the end the only way ive found i can sort this is by not having the game full screen.

Then it works perfect...

any ideas...

please bare in mind im quite a noobie when it comes to games on pc's and this is the first one ive built in ermmmm 4 years lol

thanks and i hope u can help...

ps i have Samsung T220 im on windows 7 also..

i had the same thing with crysis on 2x5870 in crossfire, with the clouds flashing and a couple other bits, i found out the way to fix it was to turn the settings down from very high, but personally i just played the game with that problem as it didnt bother me too much.

Crysis warhead is perfectly fine though.

You could also try running in DirectX 9.

But yeah, it does sound like a driver issue. You may just need to wait for new drivers.

There are driver issues in other games with the new 5 series cards, it wouldnt surprise me if this was on the list too.

PK!

ok well it still does it with medium settings....

ive just got arma II gonna try that it might just be me needing a update for game maybe?

also if it does it in full screen why doesnt it when i go to not full screen its crazy?

how do i run it in direct x 9? christ i dont even know if im on direct x 11? lol

thanks again mates

Your video cards support Dx11, but Crysis is a Dx9/Dx10 game so you won't get the performance benefits of Dx11. Have you tried using just a single card?

Let us know how Arma goes.

To run in DirectX 9 use the "-dx9" switch.

You can check the version by typing "r_displayinfo 1" into the console once you're in the game. One of the things it tells you is the DirectX version.
