Hi

Here is an alternative build. Changed the case to the regular S2 but obviously your choice on that.

You don't really need a massive cooler for the 3700X. The Noctua D15 is overkill as well, but it looks nice now they have the Black fans. The D15 also comes with Noctua Thermal paste which is pretty decent stuff.

An RX 5700 XT seems better value as it trades blows with a 2070 Super.

You are fine with 650W. The psu is still very high quality.

More storage overall. An NVMe won't make much of a difference anyway.

You could also save £100 or so on the board by going with something like an MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,571.82 (includes shipping: £15.90)

Cheers Lee,

Worth throwing a little more at it and going with the 2070s?
Also, thought the NVME would make sense as an OS drive, is the difference not worth the extra?

Also considering keeping my HX750 PSU and Corsair 600T case too, just like the idea of a complete new build, also free's up the old pc for something, just struggling to think of what!

basically there's negligible difference in real-world speeds between a sata 3 ssd and an nvme ssd, especially in os booting/games.
the main advantage in nvme ssds (apart from size and lack of cables) is in sustained transfers (ie for programs that hammer the storage like video encoding/editing)
