Merry Christmas All,
Just ordered everything for my new (and first) build.
Do I need to buy cables, leads etc ? PSU, hard drive.
Thanks for any help. Gonna read the system build guide asap.
Nelly :)

you normally get all the leads, you will find in the motherboard box the leads for the HDD's PSU will have all the leads most people would use, but no idea what you need as we dont know ur specs :)

That will help. You should get everything you need in the box. If you could post your spec it would be nice, we are always interested to see new rigs :D

Not sure if you might need to get a monitor cable. Did you already have a monitor?
Yep, son bought himself a monitor with his savings, chrimbo money etc.

Thanks for the quick replies fellas, good to know we'll be able to get started when it arrives without going out to buy extras.

Special thanks for the video, will help a lot.

My basket contained :
AMD A10-5800K Black Edition 3.80GHz (Socket FM2) APU Trinity Quad Core Processor (AD580KWOHJBOX)
ASRock FM2A75 Pro4-M AMD A75 Chipset (Socket FM2) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard
Corsair Builder Series CX 500W V2 '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply
Seagate Barracuda 500GB SATA
Cooler Master K380 Midi Tower
TeamGroup Xtreem LV 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit
Asus 24x DVD±RW DRW-24B5ST SATA ReWriter

Please tell me I've got it right, if not where I'm wrong.

ATB,Nelly :)

No worries bud :)

Well done for using the faster RAM. It would have run on 1600mhz but the 2133Mhz will help the IGP for gaming. You can always drop in a GPU later when the IGP just doesnt cut it anymore.

Thanks for the re-assurance.
Credit goes to Idleman and Indie, some of my set up is one they suggested in answer to someone else. I researched what I could, must say I'm enjoying it, and went for it.
Now the wait until delivery (28th) :D

First build day and all is going well. :D
Am I right in thinking that the Barracuda HDD fits straight into the case without a bracket ?
It does not fit into the one supplied with my Cooler Master K380 but I'm assuming the bracket is for a 3.5 or 2.5 drive only ?
Stopped for a coffee break and thought I''d ask.
Thanks for any help,Nelly.
