New Build for £1600

I would like to ask for your esteemed advice for a pc build that will be used mainly for 1080p gaming (max 1440p eventually).

I will also use this pc to create VMs for development so it will need to have a good amount of RAM.

I have good experiences so far with ASUS, Corsair, EVGA and MSI, so I would like to use those brands as much as possible, unless you have some other valid suggestions.

I would like to have this PC to be viable for a couple of years with just upgrading the video card/ram along the way to have a refresh when needed.

What do you folks suggest?

What I need is the full tower contents. The case, monitors, keyboard, mouse etc will come from another budget. Still suggestions welcome, but those are not going out of the 1600 budget since will be bought in a separate occasion.

I added X99.

For gaming the 4790K will be faster as its clocked at a higher speed and games cant use all the cores of the X99.
