Comments/Changes? I just want to make sure its as good as I can get with a maximum budget of about £800-£1200.

change the motherboard to the asrock Z68 extreme 4 gen3 and you're sorted.
theres nothing wrong with the gigabyte, but at £5 extra some PCIe gen3 compatibility wouldnt hurt (with an ivybridge upgrade though)

*edit*
any particular reason for going with two 500GB drives instead of 1 1TB drive?

Thanks, will change them over now :) Will that PSU be enough for the 570?

And no not really, just think I'd rather have two drives instead of one in case of any issues etc.

750W should be plenty enough, yeah.

OT: Where abouts in Bolton are you? :)

3d Modelling...wouldn't you be better with a i7-2600k? I think you would be able to take advantage of the 8 threads when rendering :)

Just a thought, also budget conscious, might want to weigh up your options :)

fair enough. i was wondering if you were planning on RAID, or had simply put two in the basket by mistake.

while i remember i'll also recommend you the thermalright silver arrow cooler because its much better at cooling and is a lot quieter. however, if you plan to move the computer about a fair amount then the H60 or antec khuler 620 would be more sensible than the silver arrow

Yeah, I had been recommended that, but I won't be doing that much 3D modelling, just the odd thing throughout my Uni course, so I dont know if I'm better off putting the saved cash towards the 570 or getting the 2600k and a 560.

Yeah, I was planning on RAID'ing them buddy :)

With a budget of £1200 say, you have enough to squeeze a 2600k in that spec you posted in the OP, making it an awesome machine :) and if you need to render more models further into university, then bosh ;)

Im not a fanboy of nvidia, no. Ive only ever once had an nvidia card and that was when I bought a PC through a retail store like a n00b :P I just often hear guys who I play online with slating ATi, and compatibility issues and such. I guess I'm just quite naive about it and don't look into it properly.

I like those Corsair bundles, but Im dead set on the White 600T. Its too sexy.

Like 3DS Max, characters, guns, buildings etc. Those kind of things. Basically the final project is to design an entire level, in an FPS style.
