Hi all.

Built my first pc today. Hasn't been as difficult as I expected, just sorting the mess of wires at the moment. :)

I bought a GTX 560 Ti, tried it in the new pc, no display. Tried the onboard graphics, works fine. Tried the 560 in my old system, no display and 1 long beep and 3 short ones. Tried my old 8800GT in my new system, works fine.

Any ideas, or is the card dead?

Thanks

Richard

Could just be that the PSU is a bit out dated and not enough power is getting to it, or the card it dead.

With the PSU, has it got a 6 pin adapter on it already that you use to connect it to the GPU or are you using 2 molex > 6 pin adapter, because they are no good on up to date cards!

Also @ subbytna: Love that case you have. Pretty as hell!

Yep thats your graphics card, tip for the future and not being a knob.. but if you google literally how it sounds..

"1 long, 3 short beeps" you normally find the relating code :>

not that this bits helpful but i did have a page with all the codes on but i lost it :(

Assuming both PSU connectors are in it does seem a DOA card, if bought from OCUK stick a note in the customer section.
