Hi, I have just put together a new PC and I'm looking for advice please.

The components are as below

1 x AMD A10-5800K Black Edition 3.80GHz (Socket FM2) APU Trinity Quad Core Processor (AD580KWOHJBOX) £95.99
1 x Gigabyte F2A75M-D3H AMD A75 Chipset (Socket FM2) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard £69.98
1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) £59.99
1 x TeamGroup Xtreem LV 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit (TXD38G2133HC11DC01) £35.99
1 x OCZ CoreXtreme 500w '80 Plus' Power Supply £32.99
1 x Xigmatek Asgard Pro Gaming Case - Black £32.99
1 x OcUK 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £14.99
Total : £357.01 (includes shipping : £11.75).

Couple of problems.

1. The Ram spec is 2133 MHz but the it is only showing 1333 MHz . How do I change this?

2. The windows score for the hard disk is only 5.6. Which I was wondering why it was so low because this is the new sata 6gb mother board and disk drive. Have I done something wrong or is that about right for this drive?

3. The AMD A10 chip is rated as 3.8 with auto turbo to 4.2 but the system just says 3.8 . How do I get it into turbo mode?

As can be seen I'm a complete novice so be kind ;)

Thanks in advance.

1. Go into the Bios and under RAM there should either be XMP profile (reads data from the ram to set speed) or a list of speeds to choose from. May have to up the voltage depending on the ram.

2. About right for a mech disk, windows experience is not a great measure of performance and arbitrerally limits mech disks to a max score of 5.9.

3. if you install CPUZ and stress the system you will see the processor speed throttle up and down depending on what its doing at the time

I have that exact HDD and it gets 5.9 on WEI on a Windows 8 machine (I am nearly 100% certain but if I am wrong will revert). Don't know if the Index is the same. Better might be to get one of the free HDD benchmark programs and check it with that. Then hit the forum for the program and make sure what you are seeing is about right for that drive..
Can I ask how you find the A10 5800K on the graphics side in the real world? Thinking of building a machine for family member and it looks like will fit a lot of the requirements.

Thanks for the help. The graphics seem fine to me nut then I only put it together last night at about 10.30. It's not for me but for my father in law who uses a computer all day long so I need it reliable.

Thanks

Hi, keep getting a message about 3 minutes after boot up which says.

Your version is the latest version.

What is this and how do I turn the thing off..

Thanks.
