ok so i have the new rig up and running but need a little help as i have the gigabyte P35C DS3R and the GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit and i have read that you have to adjust the memory voltage on the mother board to match the voltage of the memory .

so on the memory there is a sticker that says the voltage of the memory is 2.1v
so how do i do this from here it says i can go up 0.1,0.2 etc but in the bios it says the memory voltage is on normal and pc is running good so far but i aint tried a game so do i need to change the voltage or not ? and on the motherboard it says its Rev 2

Thanks for your help :)

I believe that Gigabyte consider 1.8V the default voltage, so you're looking for +0.3V to hit 2.1V. I would confirm that with someone else though to make sure.

Jokester

Yip Jokester's correct.

You'll also need to manually set the 4-4-4-12 timings by hitting Ctrl and F1 together on the main BIOS screen, and then entering the MB Intelligent Tweaker menu and setting the first four timings to 4, 4, 4, 12 respectively.

No you don't have to.

But you may as well if your memory is running at 800mhz.

Nah they be reading Auto if they haven't been fiddled with. 333 is probably the CPU Host Frequency.

The timings will be in a long list at the bottom of that menu if the Ctrl and F1 pressing has worked.

so do i change it like these where i have marked green ?

but instead of the 0.4v i go to 0.3v

Yip that's correct.

Just ensure that the Memory Frequency says 800mhz in the right-hand reading.

Yip that looks grand. Does the Memory Frequency read 800mhz for the right-hand reading?

Yeah I mean the setting just above the memory timings. As you can see from this pic there are two readings for the Memory Frequency. The right-hand one should read 800mhz. the one on the left doesn't matter-
