Hi.

Gigabyte Radeon R9 280 WindForce 3X OC 3072MB £169.99

Intel Core i5-4590 3.30GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 £149.99

Gigabyte Z97X-SLI Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £92.99

TeamGroup Vulcan RED 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 £59.99

Crucial MX100 128GB SATA £54.98

£527.94

All in my basket ready to go .

Few questions.

1. Will they all fit in my old (2007) Akasa Eclipse 62 Aluminium Case.

2. Can it all be powered with my Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (also 2007)

3. Are they all compatible ?

4. Does it come with a cooler?

5. Any suggestions on improvements with a little movement on budget.

6. what type of gaming performance will this give me.

Thanks.

Hi,

If you want to overclock then grab the "K" 4690K.

---------------------------------------------------

1) the board will, check how much room you have for the GFX card (you can find its dimensions at Gigabyte.com).

2) I think so, does it have an 8pin ATX as well as 24pin ATX and the PCI-Es for the card etc.

3) Yes, but if you have any IDE drives then they wont be.

4) Retail CPU does.

5) This SSD - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-011-SH&groupid=701&catid=2104&subcat=1427

If you get a K series CPU, then you get £22.50 cashback - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18637856

Looks good, I would look at getting the 4690k as the non-k can't be overclocked.
What speed is the RAM, faster the better for Haswell.

#1 - Case will work.
#2 - PSU is old now, 7 years will have degraded it a bit.
#3 - They will all work together (Would change the CPU).
#4 - Will come with the stock CPU cooler.
#5 - What monitor are you using? A 290 is only £20 more!
#6 - Depends on games, expect high-ultra but would rather a 290/290X/970.
